Are you interested in learning about accessibility, assistive software and universal design for learning?
The Accessibility Standards and Strategy Team is creating an inclusive culture within DWP, by empowering colleagues so they deliver products, services and internal communications, which are accessible, inclusive and comply with accessibility legislation.
We research, document and share best practice to educate DWP. We monitor, document and report on compliance across our services and hold teams accountable when they do not meet the standards expected of any Public Sector Body.
We are looking for an Articulate 360 Specialist to join our established team and help us to continue our mission and ensure the highest levels of digital accessibility for both our customers and colleagues in DWP.
The first year of this post will include intensive training in digital accessibility. If you already have experience in accessibility, this will be an advantage.
You will work in the Accessibility Standards and Strategy Team to create eLearning products and provide consultancy and training for our learning and development teams. You will:
- Engage in a 1-year development programme to ensure you have a high level of knowledge about digital accessibility, assistive software and related legislation and standards
- Create high quality, engaging eLearning products about disability, accessibility and inclusion
- Consult with Learning and Development teams, to help them create accessible eLearning products
- Deliver training sessions on accessibility in eLearning
- Engage with and contribute to the cross-government Accessibility Learning Design network.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Raise awareness and provide support, training and auditing to improve accessibility of eLearning products.
- Create and deliver training on how to create accessible Storyline, Rise and multimedia products.
- Test eLearning and multimedia products with assistive software.
- Keep up to date with technological developments and take responsibility for own professional development.
Candidates must be able and willing to travel occasionally, to meet business needs. This would be within a reasonable geographic range and with plenty of notice.
