Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors are seeking to appoint two experienced and dedicated Special Support Assistants to assist two children with additional learning needs - both in Year 1 in September.
The children have EHCPs for their learning needs. One child a diagnosis of ASD and the other child has Speech, Language and Communication needs.
We are looking for staff to support the children in all areas of the curriculum and to ensure their safety throughout the school day. An ability to differentiate some of the curriculum would be desirable so that appropriate learning materials can be modified to meet the needs of the pupils. Experience of working with ASD children/complex needs is essential.
Enthusiasm, energy and knowledge of how children learn are essential. Appropriate qualifications to Level 2 are required and GCSE in Maths and English – Grade C or above are essential.
