Summary
SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Contract: Part-time, ongoing
The Headteacher of a welcoming community primary school in Blackburn is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEND class.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled support professional who is passionate about working with children with additional needs and is confident supporting within a Key Stage 1 environment.
Role
- Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- A genuine passion for supporting children of all abilities
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- Prior experience working within a school setting
