HGV Mechanic
Our Client is seeking a skilled and proactive HGV Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team in Crumlin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and is committed to minimising vehicle downtime in a fast-paced transport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on tractor units and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical faults using company diagnostic systems and implement effective repairs
- Liaise with management to identify and source appropriate parts
- Maintain accurate and timely service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Uphold high standards of workshop cleanliness and organisation
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar role involving heavy vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities using modern equipment
- Solid understanding of truck and trailer maintenance (essential)
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Welding experience would be advantageous
