What skills and experience we're looking for

Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form are seeking to appoint a visionary Head of Geography, with the expertise to drive academic excellence and lead a forward-thinking team and inspire pupils with a love of the subject.

As Head of Geography, you will lead a friendly and passionate team, shaping and developing an engaging and ambitious curriculum that brings Geography to life. You will deliver high‑quality teaching, support pupils to achieve their very best, and work closely with colleagues across the Humanities department and wider academy. You will also play an active role in the wider life of the Academy, contributing positively to its ethos and culture

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher of Geography who enjoys working collaboratively and has high expectations for all pupils. Whether you are an experienced middle leader or someone ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, this role offers the chance to make a real difference within a supportive and welcoming community.

We are looking for someone who is a skilled and enthusiastic Geography teacher, who can encourage curiosity, discussion and challenge in the classroom. You will value teamwork, be keen to share good practice, and be committed to supporting both pupils and colleagues. Strong organisational skills and a desire to continue developing as a leader are essential.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust was established in September 2016 and is currently made up of five academies, four of which were the founding members of the Trust.
