Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
As a KS1 class teacher (for Y1 or Y2), the successful candidate will be:
• enthusiastic and passionate about children, their education and welfare; putting them first in everything they do.
• motivated by challenge and be an inspirational teacher.
• a reflective learner.
• an excellent and creative classroom practitioner who has high expectations of all children.
• able to foster excellent working relationships with pupils, parents and the community.
As a Year Group Leader (for Y1 or Y2), the successful candidate will:
• have the ability to be a strong and effective leader who can inspire and motivate a team.
• be able to mentor, support and hold other staff to account effectively.
• have a strong commitment to supporting the SLT in achieving the school’s priorities.
• have the drive and commitment to make a positive impact on school standards, pupil engagement and achievement.
• promote teamwork and be a professional role model for other staff.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status
Essential Experience:
- Experience working in a primary school setting
- Experience leading an aspect/area of school e.g. curriculum subject
Desirable Qualification:
- Leadership qualification e.g. NPQML
Desirable Experience:
- Working with different age groups, and especially KS1
