School Leadership and Management Experience

• Experience of holding responsibility within a primary school or clear readiness to take the next step into leadership
• Experience of leading, or contributing to the leadership of, a key stage, phase or area of responsibility
• Ability to support, challenge and motivate colleagues effectively
• Experience of monitoring standards in teaching and learning
• Experience of contributing to school improvement initiatives and raising standards
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally as part of a leadership or extended leadership team
• Ability to contribute positively and professionally as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
• Awareness of current national priorities in primary education
• To have successfully led whole school initiatives which have embedded and secured positive outcomes
• Evidence of direct involvement in whole school self- evaluation and school improvement strategies
• Experience of line management of staff

Knowledge & Experience of teaching

• Proven excellence in classroom practice within the primary phase
• Secure and up-to-date knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum

• Secure understanding of assessment, moderation and the use of data to inform teaching and intervention
• Ability to model high-quality teaching and support colleagues to improve practice
• Commitment to evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning
• A commitment to addressing equality and diversity positively, sensitively and appropriately.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and ambitious practitioner to take on a rewarding leadership role within a thriving and inclusive school. The successful candidate will lead Key Stage 1 as a member of the senior leadership team, shaping early learning, supporting colleagues and securing high-quality provision and outcomes for all pupils, while continuing to make a real difference through their own classroom practice.
