The Opportunity
Search Consultancy is looking for a reliable and thorough Site Cleaner to manage the facilities on a professional construction project in Middlesbrough. We are partnering with a leading contractor who understands that a clean, organized site is a safe and productive one.
This role is perfect for someone looking for steady, local work with a high hourly rate to fit around other commitments. If you take pride in your work and can work independently to maintain high standards, we have an immediate requirement for you.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Working on a well-managed site in Middlesbrough, you will be responsible for:
- Facility Maintenance: Ensuring site offices, meeting rooms, and communal areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Welfare Cleaning: Deep cleaning and sanitizing canteen areas, drying rooms, and toilet facilities.
- Stock Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the Site Manager when replenishments are needed.
- Safety & Hygiene: Following strict health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of COSHH materials and "wet floor" signage.
- Waste Management: Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of in the correct on-site skips.
What We're Looking For
- Reliability: You must be punctual and consistent, as the 2-hour daily window is vital for site hygiene.
- Attention to Detail: Someone who doesn't just "wipe surfaces" but ensures the site facilities are professional and welcoming for the workforce.
- Experience: Previous experience cleaning in a commercial or construction environment is highly desirable.
- Independence: You must be comfortable managing your own workload and ensuring all tasks are completed within the 2-hour shift.
