- Manage the school reception area, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
- Answer telephone calls and handle enquiries efficiently and courteously
- Maintain accurate records, including visitor logs and pupil sign‑in systems
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Assist with attendance‑related administration where required
- Support safeguarding procedures, including visitor checks and protocols
- Work collaboratively with office staff and senior leaders to support daily operations
Ideal Part-Time School Receptionist:
- Previous experience working in a school or busy reception environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, organised, and professional approach to work
- Confidence using administrative systems and Microsoft Office applications
