We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team and provide a person centred, needs led service to adults with a learning and/or physical disability at both Blue Cedars and Tall Oaks, Farnborough, Hampshire.
As a Senior Support Worker will be required to assist with all activities of daily living and support the residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community, as well as supporting the Service Management Team with the daily tasks required. We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE OF SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER
o To effectively work with your colleagues to promote the health, independence, choice respect, dignity, rights, safety and welfare of the residents at all times. To act in a professional manner as a representative of the Company at all times.
o To support the Home Manager and the Deputy Manager in the smooth running of the home.
o To work as part of a team with all your colleagues.
o To provide personal care to all clients, promoting independence and respecting their dignity at all times.
o To complete all daily, weekly and monthly records and documentation as required.
o To comply with the residents care plans, risk assessments and guidelines at all times.
ABOUT THE SERVICES
Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars are in close proximity of each other in Farnborough and therefore this role would require support at either home.
Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars both provide residential support and accommodation for up to six adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, sensory impairments and complex needs.
Staff at both services have shown proven effectiveness in contributing to the quality of life of the residents, whilst maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment.

o Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews of care plans.
o Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
o Support the Manager and the Deputy Manager in daily tasks within the service.
ABOUT YOU
o Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential full training will be provided.
o A positive, proactive, and patient attitude.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
o Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
o A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of vulnerable individual
