About the Role as a Learning Support AssistantActivate Learning is recruiting a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist team based at our brand new Vocational and Lifeskills Hub for Post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in Wokingham.You will be supporting young people aged 16-25 with complex needs to re-engage in education through personalised, therapeutic, and vocational pathways.Your responsibilities will include: Support learners across Engagement, Employment (vocational/supported internships), and Academic pathwaysWork with teachers to raise attainment and promote independence, confidence, and social inclusionProvide support in class, small groups, and 1:1Assist with personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP targetsAdapt materials to support literacy, numeracy, and communication needsUse trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour and emotional regulationSupport learners in community and work-based settingsMonitor progress and maintain accurate recordsThis is a part time (4 days per week) fixed term contract until August 2027. term time only.
