Management To be responsible for maintaining an effective system of managerial and clinical supervision for all more junior staff in the multi-disciplinary team. To be responsible for maintaining effective communication systems within the team. In conjunction with the Team manager monitor and control resources within agreed budgets. Championing the Trust Recovery and Social Inclusion strategy in the team. To assist with introducing, implementing and monitoring the Trusts procedures and policies and work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Adult Directorate and Trust wide policies. To participate in the recruiting of new staff. To enter information onto RiO and prepare reports for the Team Manager as appropriate. In conjunction with the team manager provide supervision on clinical caseloads and ensure that all team members have appropriate clinical supervision. In conjunction with the Team manager ensure team members adhere to relevant professional code of conduct, keep up to date and meet professional requirements, in conjunction with the professional leads. To act as professional supervisor to all Nurses Clinical In conjunction with the Team Manager, to be responsible for the development of the therapeutic team environment in which contemporary clinical practices may operate. To maintain high standards of nursing practice by the use of clinical role modeling and leadership skills as appropriate. To be actively involved in multi-disciplinary meetings, including safeguarding and chairing these meetings where appropriate. . To actively participate with multi-disciplinary team in assessment, formulation, implementation and evaluation of the service users treatment and support plans. To provide medication, monitor and administer medications as required. To demonstrate effective clinical nursing strategies based on current nursing research, in collaboration with other disciplines to meet service users needs. To be responsible for ensuring after care at the appropriate level is arranged for each service user on transfer/discharge, depending on the individual needs, in conjunction with other disciplines, in accordance with the Trusts CPA guidelines. To ensure that appropriate care and treatment is delivered to service users across the clinical team incorporating a range of skills and approaches which reflect the trusts commitment to the recovery approach and which enhances the privacy, safety and dignity of service users in all settings. To ensure that all staff members are familiar with and observe the provisions of the Mental Health Act, Care Program Approach, maintain and observe Codes of Professional Conduct and other appropriate legislation. To implement and contribute to policy and service development as appropriate. To always adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct or relevant professional code.
