We will be looking for a Logistics Operative to join our experienced Logistics team at the Greggs Bakery Development.
The Logistics Team oversees the site prelims, logistics and waste management function within the construction phase of the development.
The role plays a huge part in ensuring the successful construction, completion, and handover of the respective blocks within the development, by placing a key focus on health and safety, quality, and daily logistics within your allocated area of site.
We offer regular progress reviews, where training, progression routes and remuneration are all discussed at set intervals each year.
The candidate will have a desire to progress within the construction industry, forging a career path for themselves in a dynamic setting. Good timekeeping, consistency and reliability are all required and in turn our management will ensure correct training, guidance and mentorship are given to help build on your work
experience within construction. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to all safety rules on site. This role has potential avenues into Logistics Supervision/Management.
Logistics Operative job duties include:
As part of the Pure Logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the logistics and housekeeping within certain allocated blocks within the Greggs Bakery Development.
Duties Include:
Coordinating trade requirements for waste receptacles and removal
Implementing the Water Management Plan
Ensuring compliance with site signage and access requirements across your allocated area
Implementing the Fire Management Plan and equipment within your area and ensuring compliance at all times
Demarcation of logistics routes, storage areas and emergency access routes.
Ensuring segregation between pedestrians and plant is in place, and to the required standards at all times.
Handling and transporting materials and boxed deliveries.
Package Details:
Shift times vary but are typically 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
Site Induction will be taken on the first day – CSCS labourer card required – minimum

Accreditation Included – NVQ Level 3/4 or 5 in Assistant Site Management
Full welfare facilities, kitchenette, changing rooms, drying rooms all provided.
Hourly Rate – London Living Wage - Umbrella PAYE or CIS optional
