Pride House, Basildon

We are seeking an experienced Estates and Facilities Business Performance Manager (B8a) to take a leading role in how the Trust plans, measures and improves the performance of its estate.

This senior post will provide strategic and operational leadership for estates performance, data, lifecycle planning and associated financial oversight. Reporting to the Associate Director of Core Services, you will design and maintain integrated performance frameworks and dashboards covering PPM compliance, backlog, lifecycle, contracts and costs, ensuring that Board and senior leaders have clear, real‑time insight to support safe, efficient and value‑for‑money decision making.

You will lead the development and management of the Trust’s estates asset register and lifecycle replacement programme, working closely with the Head of Estates, Backlog Maintenance and Compliance, Contracts & Assurance teams to prioritise high‑risk and business‑critical assets. You will play a key role in financial control, options appraisals and business cases for estates investment and efficiency schemes.

If you're shortlisted for this role, your interview will take place on 3 June 2026.

You will lead and support service improvement, backlog reduction and sustainability projects, and provide expert estates performance and risk advice into Trust‑wide strategies, audits, inspections and serious incident reviews.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior estates/facilities professional with strong analytical, financial and performance management skills.

The Estates and Facilities Business Performance Manager holds a pivotal strategic and operational role within the Trust, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance, compliance, and financial management of the Estates and Facilities department.

This senior leadership position is tasked with driving continuous improvement, ensuring statutory and NHS compliance, and providing accurate performance data and lifecycle asset management information to support informed decision-making across the estate portfolio.

The post holder will line manage key operational staff, including the Estates PPM Officer, Admin Manager, and Helpdesk Manager, working collaboratively with internal teams such as the Compliance, Contracts & Assurance Manager, Finance Assistant, and Backlog Maintenance teams to deliver value-driven estate management aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives.
