Crynodeb

We are looking for an experienced Tooling Technician / Die Setter to support the safe and efficient production of high‑quality extruded profiles.

You will be responsible for the preparation, setting, inspection and ongoing maintenance of extrusion tooling, ensuring tooling quality, reliability and longevity while supporting consistent production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and remove extrusion tooling safely and accurately
• Dismantle, clean and inspect dies, calibrators and tanks after production runs
• Steam clean and maintain calibration equipment, vacuum chambers and water systems
• Inspect tooling for wear or damage, carry out minor repairs and document findings
• Polish and clean dies and calibrators to maintain performance and longevity
• Replace fixings, seals, pipes and connectors as required
• Operate hand tools, powered tools and air‑powered equipment
• Maintain accurate records, tooling storage and high housekeeping standards

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in an extrusion, tooling, die setting or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of tooling setup, cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Confident using hand tools, powered tools and air‑powered equipment
• Ability to read measurements and work accurately to specifications
• Good attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong focus on safety, quality and housekeeping
