Information Manager - Band 6/7 depending on experience
The post-holder will contribute to the development of a performance-focused culture where safety, effectiveness and patient experience are consistently delivered through the provision of high-quality performance information, analytical interpretation, benchmarking, forecasting and intelligent modelling. This role will be responsible for supporting the Clinical and Operational Leads by providing timely, accurate and relevant information that enables effective decision making and performance monitoring of services provided.
1. Lead the provision of management information for the Surgical and Women’s & Children Division, Cancer and Clinical Support Services that enables robust performance management, monitoring and where necessary restorative action.
2. Support the implementation and development of reports and dashboards to users’ specifications to deliver bespoke performance information and reporting to all relevant departments of the Trust.
3. The post holder will provide and receive highly complex and sensitive information, from which evidence-based analysis will be undertaken and the post holder will the present to Divisional Operational Boards or project groups to gain agreement or cooperation for implementing improvement actions where required.
4. Use in-depth specialist knowledge of statistics and information analysis of both Trust data and comparative benchmark data from across the NHS to produce meaningful intelligence on which evidence-based decisions can be made.
5. To be an expert in analysis of Elective Care, Outpatient, Theatres, Maternity and Cancer datasets, and to interpret and resolves highly complex statistical information problems often finding innovative solutions in areas where there is no precedent as will be the case with the ongoing development of the new ICO and Collaborative Intelligence model.
