Qualifications & Experience
• Good Honours Degree
• Relevant in-service training eg safeguarding; wholeschool leadership
• Experience in staff recruitment, leading adepartment area
Skills & Aptitudes
• Teaching to at least a grade 2 equivalent standard
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff at a wholeschool level
• Ability to work in partnerships
• Ability to manage a budget
• Ability to plan and think strategically
• People management skills
• Time management
• Ability to use data and information effectively
• Ability to monitor and challenge under performance
• Ability to work with outside agencies
• Ability to successfully complete nationalaccreditation schemes relevant to continuedimprovement of the school
Personal Qualities
• Calm, Patient, Sense of Humour, Compassionate,Attention to detail, resilient
Knowledge
• Understanding of importance of safeguarding
• Experience of Performance Management
• Good knowledge of current educationaldevelopments
• Good knowledge of accountability measures andOfSTED requirements
• Specific whole school leadership of key area –Assessment, Data, Learning and Teaching, CPD,Pastoral
The specific duties for this post will be determined at interview based on skillset. The role will include whole school leadership of a key whole school area.
It will include line management of departments and year team(s) as well asspecific remits in raising standards across the school
