Crynodeb
The role will be varied and will adapt over time as the ICB develops. However, the postholder is expected to fulfil the following key functions: Lead the development and implementation of a system-wide contracting and procurement strategy aligned with the ICBs vision, commissioning intentions, and transformation goals. Provide executive leadership for the planning, negotiation, and management of contracts with a wide range of providers. Ensure contracts are robust, deliver value for money, and support quality improvement and service transformation. Monitor contract performance against KPIs and milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Ensure all procurement activity complies with relevant legislation, including the Provider Selection Regime and NHS procurement frameworks. Work closely with finance and information teams to ensure alignment of activity plans, financial trajectories, and contract values. Provide assurance on the financial and operational risks associated with contracts and procurement decisions.
