This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing, while gaining a recognised qualification and hands-on experience in a school setting.

About the role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:
Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences
Work closely with pupils, including those with SEN
Provide in-class support, small group work and one-to-one interventions
Help promote pupils’ wellbeing, independence and confidence
Support learning activities, behaviour, and inclusion across the primary phase
Participate fully in academy life, including training days, trips and professional development
Undertake a specialist Teaching Assistant apprenticeship alongside your role
Provide classroom cover when required and play an active part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
What we’re looking for
You need to have:
GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
A genuine passion for working with children
Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and equal opportunities
Willingness to work towards a Teaching Assistant qualification
It would be a bonus if you already have:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
