The division are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and forward-thinking professionals to join the team. MKUH is one of the leading hospitals in Europe for implementing robotics to assist in surgery, becoming the first in the continent to use the CMR Versius robot for gynaecological surgery. Since its introduction in 2019, the theatres team have completed over 500 surgical cases, the first hospital in the UK to reach this milestone, achieving this in March 2023. To formulate evidence-based programmes of care based on an assessment and evaluation of patient needs. Professional Responsibilities To comply with Trust policies and practice within the NMC Standards and guidelines. To maintain professional registration and fulfil revalidation requirements. Education and Training To assist, when necessary, with induction and orientation programmes for staff ensuring that the needs of the ward are met. To participate in the sharing of knowledge with colleagues. Other Duties As part of ongoing professional development, and when required, act as Nurse in Charge in the absence of a Band 6/Sister, with appropriate guidance and support from senior nursing staff. Staff may be temporarily redeployed to other areas of the Trust during times of peak acuity, in accordance with their skills, competence and service needs.
