Cedar Court Nursing Home (General Unit)

Registered Nurse

43 hours per week

2 week shift rotation combined of 1 week working 3 days, 1 week working 4 days - alternating weekends.

Hourly rate: £23.06 per hour

Cedar Court Nursing Home is a privately-owned nursing home registered for a maximum of 30 service users and is based in a convenient location just off the A511 in South Derbyshire and just 5 miles from Burton on Trent.

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse (bank) with a natural caring nature to join our team.

Our aim at Cedar Court is to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed, friendly environment. We specialise in caring for people in a friendly and empathetic approach. We ensure that residents are able to still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst receiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect and you will play a key part in this:

Ensuring the well-being of our residents, making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.

Leading, motivating and mentoring our experienced team of carers and providing clinical guidance to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home.

Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individual care plans.

Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation

What you’ll be doing

Overseeing the care team and ensure their duties have been fulfilled throughout the shift.

Developing, reviewing and updating care plans

Ensuring medicines are administered, stored and received appropriately.

Ensuring the well-being of our residents, making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.

Being pro-active in monitoring the behaviour and well-being of residents and making appropriate referrals to external sources of support or care as necessary.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
