JOSD has a diagnosis of autism and epilepsy, for which he takes regular prescribed medication. He is a bright and intelligent individual who communicates his wants, choices, likes, and dislikes clearly and confidently though Makaton and showing what he wants, he benefits from regular reassurance to ensure he feels confident that he is completing tasks correctly and making sensible decisions.
BROP has a diagnosis of autism and also takes regular medication. He communicates well with Makaton and would benefit from someone who can be calm and patient in their understanding.
Family relationships are very important to them. They enjoy spending time with family, who are actively involved, positive, and highly supportive, while also encouraging their independence and autonomy.
