Duties as Finance Officer:
- Manage day-to-day financial administration and processing
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Support budget monitoring and financial reporting
- Assist with payroll-related administration where required
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements
- Work closely with senior leaders and administrative staff to support financial planning
- Handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
- Support the smooth running of the school’s financial systems
Ideal Finance Officer:
- Previous experience in a finance or administrative finance role
- Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Professional, reliable, and confidential approach to work
- Understanding of safeguarding and working within a school environment
