Summary
Job Description:
Word Practitioners Ministry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastor to lead and develop its spiritual, pastoral, and community outreach activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the Christian faith, providing leadership within the ministry, and supporting the spiritual growth of members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct regular worship services, including preaching and teaching the Word of God
Provide spiritual leadership and direction in line with the ministry’s Statement of Faith
Deliver pastoral care, counselling, and support to individuals and families
Oversee discipleship programmes and support the development of church members
Coordinate and lead evangelism and outreach activities within the local community
Supervise and support assistant pastors, ministry workers, and volunteers
Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the ministry
Ensure safeguarding practices and pastoral responsibilities are properly upheld
Person Specification:
Essential:
A committed Christian with a clear calling to pastoral ministry
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a pastoral or church leadership role
Strong knowledge of the Bible and ability to preach and teach effectively
Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to provide pastoral counselling and spiritual guidance
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Desirable:
Recognised theological qualification or formal ministry training
Experience in church growth, community outreach, or mission work
Knowledge of safeguarding and church governance practices
