This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Energy Team at Liverpool University Hospitals, whilst completing the Level 3 Junior Energy
Manager Apprenticeship. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team of energy and sustainability professionals within the Estates and Facilities Department.
Day to day management will be provided by the Carbon and Energy Manager. This includes providing projects to manage and supporting the
training that will be provided by an external apprenticeship management company. At least 20% of the successful applicants’ role will consist of
formal training.

Main duties of the role include:
• Energy data collection, analysis and reporting; presenting data in a clear and attractive format, for example monthly energy performance
reports
• Assist with the creation and implementation of plans to reduce energy use of the Trust
• Complete internal energy audits, surveys and checks e.g. energy monitoring
• Assist in reviewing policies and practices in light of new / changing regulation, best practice and Trust policy
• Assist in the creation and delivery of awareness days, behaviour change campaigns and presentations to staff about best practice

The Energy Manager Apprentice will play a key role within the Energy and Sustainability at Liverpool University Hospitals, whilst completing the Level 3 Junior Energy Manager Apprenticeship. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team of energy professionals within the Estates and Facilities Department.
Day to day management will be provided by the Energy Manager within the trust. This includes providing energy projects to manage and supporting the training that will be provided by an external apprenticeship management company. At least 20% of the successful applicants’ role will consist of formal training.

The apprentice will support the energy manager in the rollout of energy projects such as solar installations, renewable energy feasibilities, preparing grant fund bids which are all designed to support decarbonisation.
