Mandatory Vetting Requirement – Non‑Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV)

This role requires the postholder to access sensitive police and criminal justice information and systems, including information shared under Multi‑Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). As a result, Non‑Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) is a mandatory requirement.

NPPV is a police‑led vetting process that provides assurance of an individual’s integrity, reliability and suitability to access police information, intelligence and systems. It is required for non‑police staff working in roles where there is unsupervised physical or remote access to police premises, data, or classified material.

Appointment to this role is conditional upon successfully obtaining and maintaining the required level of NPPV clearance. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo the NPPV process upon appointment. Where NPPV clearance is not granted or cannot be maintained, this may affect the individual’s ability to carry out the duties of the role.
