We are seeking a hands-on Support Services Supervisor responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the service and contract, ensuring delivery in line with the agreed contract specification.
This role requires an individual who will take ownership of service delivery, lead and motivate site-based teams, and ensure high standards are maintained through effective supervision, clear communication, and full compliance with company and client requirements.
The Role
Ensure correct manning levels are maintained, including short-term and emergency cover, within agreed budgets.
Supervise and support staff, ensuring appropriate training, monitoring, and use of systems, materials, and technology.
Manage day-to-day service delivery, taking accountability for performance against SLAs, metrics, and service standards.
Delegate staff effectively to maximise skills and ensure cleaning services meet agreed standards.
Maintain accurate financial accounting, stock control, and management of cleaning materials, consumables, uniforms, and waste services within budget.
Recruit, induct, motivate, appraise, and manage staff in line with company processes and client procedures.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessments, COSHH, chemical controls, and statutory fire and safety regulations.
Manage communication, reporting, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, driving continuous service improvement with the Facilities Manager.
About You
Proven experience managing people and resources.
Knowledge of cleaning processes and industry standards.
PC literate, with the ability to use technology effectively.
Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify issues quickly and develop practical solutions.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate teams to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
A strong team player and leader, able to set the tone for the team.
Understanding of client business needs and drivers.
