Harvest Supervisor
Harvest Supervisor - West Sussex- £30,000 – £38,000

The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a hands on and motivated Harvest Supervisor to support the daily operations of a large scale soft fruit production site. You will be responsible for supervising seasonal harvest teams and supporting crop husbandry activities across a busy, fast paced agricultural environment. The role is key to maintaining crop quality, ensuring efficient labour use and supporting smooth harvest operations throughout the season. This is a practical, outdoor role requiring strong leadership, organisation and the ability to manage seasonal teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support seasonal harvest teams to ensure efficient picking and crop handling
- Monitor crop quality and ensure harvesting standards are consistently met
- Assist with crop husbandry tasks including pruning, plant care, and general maintenance
- Allocate daily tasks and coordinate seasonal labour requirements
- Monitor productivity and report performance against targets
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and farm assurance standards
- Support training and onboarding of seasonal workers
- Identify and report crop issues such as pests, disease, or quality concerns
- Work closely with management to plan labour and workload distribution
- Maintain health & safety standards across all site operations

The Candidate:
- Experience in agriculture, horticulture, or soft fruit production (essential)
- Previous experience supervising or leading teams (essential or highly desirable)
- Strong practical understanding of crop harvesting and field operations
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
- Reliable, hands-on, and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence preferred

The Package:
- Salary £30,000 - £38,000 DOE
- On site mobile home accommodation available
- Seasonal overtime during peak periods

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
