About The Team:
The IDS team are the backbone of digital operations, ensuring students and colleagues across the organisation can work seamlessly, whether they’re in the office or at home. Our team delivers a broad range of IT services, from maintaining critical infrastructure to providing responsive, user-focused support.
We pride ourselves on being approachable, knowledgeable, and solutions driven. Through our web portal, phone and email channels, our support analysts are the first point of contact for resolving IT issues and keeping everything running smoothly, in a professional, friendly, and supportive manner.
The Opportunity:
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Support Analyst to join our busy Information Digital Services (IDS) team.
The main purpose of this role is to provide IT support and training to end users and students across SRUC whilst maintaining and creating good working relationships with staff and colleagues, delivering assistance in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of HNC level or have relevant industry experience in a relevant subject, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting users (Staff, Students and other authorised users) in resolving issues
- Configuration, installation and repair of equipment using automated tools
- Undertake IT operations, e.g. backups, equipment movement, systems
- Support Audio Video and Video Conferencing business events
- Log calls and undertake tasks as prioritised by the Service Desk system
- Assist in creating a robust knowledge base by creating user friendly documentation / help guides for staff & students
- Conduct site visits as required
- Participate in IDS Projects as required
- Full UK driving license required
