Stores Person - £15.75ph - Based in Newport, South Wales - working 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include 28 days holiday (rising to 33), Pension, Onsite parking, subsidised canteen, Gym - Temporary ongoing position to start ASAP.
We are recruiting a Stores Person for our global manufacturing client based in Newport, South Wales - this is a temporary ongoing position to start immediately.
Working in a busy stores department and reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the role of the Stores Person will be to receive, store and delivery all goods coming in and out of the warehouse and supplying parts to the Shop Floor.
Duties will include:
- Responsible for receiving and checking all deliveries
- Ensuring all stock is stored in the correct manner
- Liaising with suppliers and handling queries relating to delivery and stock discrepancies
- Keeping a record of and reporting any frequent shortages or spare items
- Keeping inventory management systems up to date
- Carrying out regular stock takes
- Order picking and delivering products to our internal customers
- Putting stock away in locations accurately and efficiently
Required skills and experience:
- Excellent IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems (experience in SAP system preferred but not essential)
- Forklift / counterbalance licence (Preferred)
- Experience working in a similar inventory or stock control role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- Full UK driving licence (Preferred but not essential)
You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be willing to work rotating shifts - you will also enjoy working as part of a team, whilst also being able to work independently when required.

£15.75 to £17.81 per hour (working shifts)
Hours are 6am-2pm & 2pm to 10pm (rotating each week)
Monday to Friday
