As a Salaried GP at Northenden Group Practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a supportive and experienced team. You will manage a varied clinical workload, providing care across acute, chronic, and preventative medicine while contributing to the ongoing development of the practice. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care for a wide range of patient presentations Manage both acute and long-term conditions, with a focus on continuity of care Undertake a mix of face-to-face consultations, telephone/online triage, and home visits where appropriate Request, interpret, and act on investigations in a timely manner Prescribe in line with local and national guidance and practice policies Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical records using EMIS Web Contribute to QOF, screening, and preventative health initiatives Administrative Duties Manage clinical correspondence, referrals, results, and associated paperwork efficiently Process tasks and documents using EMIS and Docman systems (shared workload) Complete reports, forms, and medical certificates as required Team & Practice Contribution Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care Contribute to teaching and training within the practice (as appropriate) Participate in practice meetings, clinical discussions, and service development Support the practices role within the wider Primary Care Network Quality & Governance Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with GMC Good Medical Practice Participate in clinical governance activities, including significant event analysis and audits Reflect on personal performance and contribute to continuous improvement within the team Personal & Professional Development Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills through CPD and appraisal Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation requirements Engage with training and development opportunities within the practice Person Specification (Essential) Fully qualified GP with CCT and MRCGP Full registration with the GMC and on the GP Register Member of a recognised medical defence organisation Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good IT skills and familiarity with clinical systems Additional Information A flexible and supportive approach is essential, recognising the dynamic nature of general practice The role offers a well-balanced workload within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
