We are currently recruiting for a Director of Operations - Sylfaen.

37 hours per week.

Valleys to Coast is a not-for-profit housing association with a bold ambition: to create safe and happy homes and vibrant, sustainable communities across South Wales. We own and manage more than 6,000 homes and are embarking on one of the most ambitious development and regeneration programmes in Wales.

Our Development Plan 2025–2030 commits us to delivering up to 300 new homes per year across a wide geographic spread from Cardiff to Swansea, combining estate regeneration, town-centre renewal, and land-led mixed-tenure development.
We are also leading on a number of major regeneration programmes, transforming estates and town centres into thriving, modern communities.

To achieve this, we are establishing a new Subsidiary Company, giving us a stronger outward-facing presence in the housing market. This Subsidiary will enable us to deliver open market sale, shared ownership, and build-for-sale opportunities, alongside social rent, ensuring we reinvest commercial returns into delivering more affordable homes and regeneration across our communities.

The Director of Operations is a pivotal role, reporting to the Executive Team, and is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all operational services across Sylfaen. The focus is on delivering high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused services that drive performance against corporate objectives. The Director of Operations occupies a critical, strategic, and highly outward-facing leadership position within the Valleys to Coast Group. This role is instrumental in actualising the Group's ambitious development agenda, which is centred on the delivery of up to 300 new, high-quality homes annually. Beyond housing delivery, the Director is also the driving force behind major, complex regeneration programmes. These programmes are designed to be transformative, turning existing estates and town centres into thriving, sustainable, and truly vibrant communities that enhance the quality of life for all residents.

As an equal opportunities employer, Valleys to Coast is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees and does not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership. We aspire to have a diverse and inclusive workplace and strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply and join Valleys to Coast.

Valleys to Coast reserves the right to close the job role earlier than the specified closing date if sufficient applications have been received. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as reasonably practicable. We look forward to hearing from you.
