Support worker – Newport £14.50-£15.25 p/h
Are you compassionate, reliable, and ready to make a real difference in people’s lives? Our growing care agency is looking for dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our team in Newport!
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
Help clients maintain their independence and well-being by supporting them in community activities and appointments
Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
Support individuals who may display challenging behaviour, responding calmly and effectively to ensure a safe and positive environment
Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 months UK-based experience as a support worker
Experience or confidence in working with challenging behaviour
Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a strong desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to work varied shifts and locations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and judgment to respond to client needs
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
