FJA are recruiting Trainee Field Technicians in your area to support leak detection work across the water network. This is a full-time Monday–Friday role with flexible working hours.
Location: Hampshire, Dorset, Wilshire, Somerset areas

What you’ll be doing:
• Using digital equipment to record acoustic sound files across the water network
• Working independently in urban/suburban areas
• Meeting performance indicators set by the client
• Liaising with supervisors and working towards daily/weekly targets
• Manual work involving lifting, stretching and bending
• Long-distance driving at times
What helps you succeed:
• Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with the public
• Self-motivated, detail-focused and customer-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Water Hygiene, Street Works and Manual Handling training (provided)
You must have:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A full UK manual driving licence (vehicle + fuel card provided)
This role is ideal for those from hands-on or outdoor backgrounds, Drivers, Meter
Readers, Labourers, Field Technicians, Noise Logging
Technicians, or anyone looking for a career change.
