Our client, a well-established, family-run independent garage in Blackpool, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to work in a reputable workshop that values quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and career development.
Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:
- Competitive salary between £34,000 and £38,000, dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours, with optional weekend overtime
- Modern, fully equipped workshop featuring advanced diagnostic tools, nine ramps, and an MOT bay

- Opportunities for further training, including MOT testing qualifications

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Identify faults and accurately diagnose vehicle issues
- Perform general maintenance including brake, suspension, and engine repairs and replacements
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to high-quality standards
- Manage workshop workflow efficiently to meet customer deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Assist with MOT testing if qualified (training provided if necessary)
- Contribute to a team committed to delivering excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a busy garage environment
- Qualifications in motor vehicle technology are preferred; MOT testing certification advantageous
- Confident in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools
- Reliable, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Living within commuting distance to Blackpool or willing to relocate
