Location: Parkside, 65 Main Road, Romford
Salary: £13.19 per hour
Hours Rota:
• Week 1: 3 days, 10:00am – 4:00pm
• Week 2: 2 days, 10:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate Activities Assistant / Carer to join our team at Parkside. This part-time role focuses on delivering engaging, person-centred activities that support residents’ wellbeing-socially, physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually.
You will help create a warm, inclusive environment, with a strong Christian ethos at the heart of daily life within the home.

We pride ourselves on creating a “home-from-home” environment, supporting independence while working closely with families and healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of meaningful activities
• Support residents’ wellbeing across social, physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs
• Lead and assist with Christian-based activities (e.g. services, prayer, readings)
• Provide hands-on care where required, including mobility and personal support
• Encourage resident participation, independence, and choice
• Organise outings and support attendance at community and church events
• Maintain accurate activity records and contribute to care plans
About You
• Experience in a care role (essential)
• Dementia training (essential)
• Experience delivering activities in a care setting
• Understanding of and commitment to a Christian ethos
• Caring, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
• Full UK driving licence (for minibus use)
