Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly skilled TIG Welder with strong experience in thin-gauge aluminium welding (1–2 mm). This role requires
extreme attention to detail, steady technique, and the ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
You’ll be fabricating high-quality components where both structural integrity and cosmetic perfection are essential.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform precise TIG welding on aluminium parts (1–2 mm thickness)
•Maintain tight tolerances and a high-quality, consistent weld finish
•Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specs
•Handle pre-weld prep, tack welds, and post-weld finishing
•Adapt to urgent jobs and evolving priorities in a dynamic shop environment
•Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and team leads to meet deadlines
•Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Your Skills & Experience
•Enthusiastic, conscientious, results orientated, self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude.
•Developing strong working relationships with the team and customers
•Good communicator to all levels in and outside of the business
•Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment.
•Good planning and organisational skills
•Willingness to learn and apply the Unipart Way principles and tools, including OCCs
