You’ll support students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them thrive in the classroom and build confidence in their learning. You could be working across a wide range of subjects — from foundation courses and vocational programmes to A Levels.
Some students may need one-to-one support, while others will benefit from small group sessions. You’ll play a key role in helping them stay engaged, develop independence, and achieve their goals.
Alongside your role, you’ll study towards a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, giving you the perfect foundation for a career in education.

A genuine interest in supporting young people and adult learners
What you’ll gain
A fully supported apprenticeship with dedicated study time
A Level 3 qualification while you work
A mentor to guide you through your first steps in education
A structured induction to help you settle in with confidence
Ongoing training and development opportunities
What hours will I work?
This is a full-time, term-time role (38 weeks per year), typically worked across 5 days from 8:30am – 4:30pm, with time built in for your apprenticeship studies. That means you’ll benefit from college holidays to recharge, pursue other interests, or balance other commitments.
