Registered Nurse (RN / RNLD Preferred) – Shift Leader
Location: Northwich
Hours: 39 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
Salary: £22 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse, preferably with an RNLD qualification, to join our team as a Shift Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality care within complex care and learning disability settings.
Working across 12-hour shifts, you will take responsibility for leading the clinical team on duty, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Shift Leader, coordinating and supervising the care team
Deliver and oversee high-quality nursing care to individuals with complex needs and learning disabilities
Administer medication and treatments in line with best practice and regulatory requirements
Support, mentor, and guide junior staff and care teams
Ensure care plans are implemented, reviewed, and updated appropriately
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and positive environment for service users
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin (RNLD preferred)
Proven experience working in complex care environments
Strong background supporting individuals with learning disabilities
Previous experience in a leadership or senior role is highly desirable
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to lead a team confidently and respond effectively under pressure
