The postholder will: Identify, select and apply different business analysis approaches and tools which are tailored appropriately to the context, scale, and scope of change initiatives. Provide support where the business analysis specialism is most relevant (this may be leading business analysis activities or supporting others, depending on the scale and complexity). For example: Identify the potential scope and needs of change initiatives, identify appropriate problem or research questions, develop deep understanding of problems, establish root causes, conduct current state and gap analyses, complete user research to identify needs Support development and appraisal of solutions aligned to user needs and organisational objectives (to-be state, user journey mapping, requirements gathering, options appraisals) Support others involved in implementing solutions where additional knowledge is required in areas such as acceptance criteria, acceptance testing, user testing and analysing post-implementation performance to understand if further improvements are required. Transform analytical findings into clear, data-driven actions and strategic recommendations that guide decision-making and service improvements. Interrogate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data such as service performance and patient outcomes and convert into actionable insights. Identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities. Assess data quality to avoid misinterpretation or misapplication. Make the complex simple take complex information and distil, theme, summarise and adapt so that is tailored to individual stakeholder groups. Use creative methods and techniques to engage and present, relaying information, insights and key messages in everyday language. Model a collaborative, influential and flexible style of working, pre-empting and planning for potential challenging conversations and reactions, for example due to findings or change recommendations. Draw on wider fields such as Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Improvement Science, Research and Innovation to supplement and broaden knowledge and practice. Communication Proactively engage with team members and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and support the development of effective working relationships, verbally and in writing. Attend various internal and external meetings on behalf of the team where appropriate. Collaborate with senior and specialist colleagues to align approaches, including appropriate governance structures with PMO colleagues as required. Develop effective communications for initiatives, adapting and applying differing communication styles to meet the needs and objectives of varied audiences Report and present information in a variety of different formats, using statistics, storytelling, case studies and other approaches to effectively convey the progress and impact of changes made to staff, service users, senior leaders and other stakeholders. Design, deliver and facilitate discussions and workshops to engage others in change, placing an emphasis on building strong relationships to maximise buy-in throughout the end-to-end change journey Use excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills to encourage others to think differently about change and innovation, including in circumstances where there may be resistance to change.Budgetary Responsibility Quantify and translate inefficiencies and opportunities into financial metrics where relevant as part of as-is and to-be analysis (e.g. time spent on a process and what that would equate to cost wise for that band / role) Support the identification and monitoring of financial / efficiency savings where this is an identified deliverable of the initiative. People Management Maintaining own professional development and requirement to take part in appraisal and KSF process Through coaching and training, support and enable others to use more basic business analysis techniques such as process mapping, requirements documenting and MoSCoW prioritisation to empower them to autonomously work on continuous improvement, appropriate to their level of capability. Develop into an SME for business analysis, supporting the BA function to be considered a specialism within the Trust, conducting lessons learned and obtaining feedback specific to BA work to support future individual and team development Participate in the trusts Appraisal process Work with line manager to identify and implement an appropriate personal development plan. Research & Development Keeping up to date with Power BI releases and updates. Ensure own personal and professional development through keeping up to date with latest technologies, systems and processes within the business analysis field. Clinical and Practice Governance Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies. The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes. The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures. Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role as required by East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust. The post holder must participate in clinical and other audits as required. The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process for their team. Working conditions Flexibility and resilience are required due to working in a dynamic and fast paced team with competing priorities. The post holder will be expected to be able to meet the travel and flexible working requirements of the role. Ability to travel between sites and areas will be required. Ability to work remotely or from hot desk facilities at different sites is essential.
