A well-established small animal veterinary practice in Suffolk is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and progressive team. About the Practice
The practice is RCVS-accredited and has been established since 2002, offering a high standard of care supported by excellent facilities. These include an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ECG, hydrotherapy, and exotics services.
The practice has also achieved Silver accreditation from both the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic and the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund (RWA&F), reflecting its commitment to outstanding patient care.
In early 2026, the team will move into a brand-new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility, making this an exciting time to join and be part of the practice’s continued growth and development.
The Role
This Veterinary Surgeon role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time applications considered. The position involves working up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota.
• Shift patterns range between 8:00am and 7:00pm
• Flexibility can be accommodated to support work-life balance
• Some adaptability is required to help cover annual leave
There are no out-of-hours (OOH) requirements, as the practice benefits from a dedicated MiNight team, ensuring an excellent work-life balance.
Candidate Requirements
The practice is looking for a confident and personable Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Comfortable with sole charge, particularly on Saturdays
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• A team-oriented approach with a positive attitude

Location
The role is based in Ipswich, Suffolk, with excellent transport links and commutable from Felixstowe, Framlingham, Saxmundham, Stowmarket, Claydon, and surrounding areas.
