Personal Assistant (PA) – Part-Time



About Me

I am a 16-year-old girl living in the Treherbert area of RCT with my Mum, Dad, and two brothers. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, especially visiting fair rides and parks. When the weather isn’t great, I like activities such as bowling, swimming, and trampolining.

I have SynGAP1 and Global Developmental Delay, and I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me in the community and help me build independence while enjoying activities I love.

Purpose of the Role

The role involves supporting me to access the community by accompanying me to activities of my choice, helping me develop confidence and independence in a safe and enjoyable way.

Hours of Work

6 hours per week ideally Saturday and Sundays mornings and afternoons.

Pay

£17.20 per hour
£0.40 per mile (for travel)

Key Responsibilities

Accompanying me to community activities (e.g., parks, fair rides, bowling, swimming, trampolining)
Supporting me to engage safely and confidently in activities
Encouraging independence and social interaction

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be:

Trustworthy and reliable
Friendly and approachable
Confident and patient
Able to maintain confidentiality
A non-smoker
Comfortable around pets



Essential Requirements:

Full UK driving licence

Additional Information

This is a part-time but formal role; a National Insurance number is required
A trial period will be implemented initially
Wages are paid monthly, with holiday pay entitlement
Employment is subject to:
Satisfactory references
Enhanced DBS (Police) check (funded by the Local Authority)
Right to work checks in the UK
