Are you an ambitious and talented Early Years teacher ready to take the next step into leadership?
At Horsenden Primary School, we are looking for an exceptional EYFS practitioner to lead our Early Years phase for a fixed-term maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong classroom teacher who is ready to develop their leadership skills within a supportive and experienced leadership team.
As EYFS Phase Leader, you will:
• Lead and develop a high-performing Early Years team
• Be accountable for the quality of education, provision and outcomes across Nursery and Reception
• Drive high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and strong pupil progress
• Use assessment effectively to identify priorities and improve outcomes
• Support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration and professional dialogue
• Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement
This role offers a genuine opportunity to step into leadership with support, coaching and clear development pathways.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is an excellent EYFS practitioner with a proven impact on pupil outcomes
• Has the potential and ambition to lead and inspire others
• Has strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, assessment and child development
• Is committed to inclusion, high expectations and achieving the best for every child
• Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider community
• Is organised, reflective and motivated to develop their leadership skills
