About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning both in the classroom and through small group or 1:1 support, helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
This role would suit someone passionate about working with children and committed to making a positive difference in education.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils’ learning in the classroom and in small groups
• Assist the teacher with preparation of learning activities and resources
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Contribute to pupils’ wellbeing and development
The Successful Candidate Will Have
• A positive, patient, and caring approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organisational skills and flexibility
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable (but not essential)
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
