Job Title: Night Shift Warehouse Operative (Container Tipping)Location: DerbyDue to continued growth and increased demand, we are introducing a dedicated night shift operation and are seeking experienced and motivated Warehouse Operatives to support this expansion. This role will focus on container tipping and unloading, forming a key part of the warehouse’s inbound logistics process.This is a hands-on, physically demanding position, suited to individuals who are comfortable with manual work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.The Role:As a Night Shift Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring containers are unloaded efficiently and goods are processed accurately for onward distribution. You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team to meet operational targets while maintaining high safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Safely tipping and unloading containers, ensuring all goods are handled correctlyCarrying out manual handling tasks as part of the unloading processOperating VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) trucks and Counterbalance/Reach Forklifts where requiredChecking incoming goods for damage and reporting discrepanciesAccurately placing stock into designated warehouse locationsSupporting general warehouse duties including picking, packing, and housekeepingMaintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environmentAdhering strictly to all health & safety policies and site proceduresCandidate Requirements:Valid VNA and/or Forklift (Counterbalance/Reach) licences (highly desirable)Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environmentPhysically fit and capable of carrying out repetitive, labour-intensive tasksStrong work ethic with a “can-do” attitudeReliable, punctual, and able to commit to night shiftsGood attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamShift Pattern & Training:Initial Training (Day Shifts):Monday 27th – Friday 1st:08:30 – 17:30Transition Period:Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th:07:00 – 18:00Wednesday 6th & Thursday 7th:18:00 – 04:00Ongoing Night Shift (from week commencing 11th):Monday to Thursday:18:00 – 04:00This structured onboarding process ensures all new starters are fully trained and confident before moving onto permanent night shifts.What’s on Offer:Stable, ongoing work within a growing operationFixed 4-night working week, offering excellent work-life balanceOpportunity to develop and utilise forklift and warehouse skillsSupportive team environment with full training providedImmediate start available following successful onboardingThis is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to secure a long-term night shift role within a busy and expanding warehouse operation.Apply today to be considered for an immediate start.
