We're growing fast and need reliable yard operatives like you to help us succeed.We specialise in designing, manufacturing, hiring and selling temporary works solutions. At MGF, we manufacture our equipment, operate our own transport fleet and have an in-house engineering team who produce design solutions to meet customers’ requirements.With 13 depots nationwide and over 450 passionate members of our team, we're expanding. Each team member plays a crucial role in this success, and we need your help as a Welder/Fabricator to continue delivering exceptional results.Working in our busy Workshop, you will be performing skilled fabricating work during the manufacture, modification and repair of heavy steel.Your key responsibilities may include:Fabricating, welding and manufacturing of all types of MGF Shoring Equipment from instructions and the reading of engineering drawingsPerform high quality repairs on heavy duty steel equipmentDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processesObserve or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standardsVisually inspect welding work to determine compliance with standards and current legislationResponsible for cleanliness and housekeeping within your areaThe core requirements for this role are:Two years’ experience of fabricating / welding heavy steel including UC, RHS, CHSConfident in manufacturing from technical drawings in accordance with BS EN 1090, execution class 2Take full responsibility of individual workload and be able to prioritiseWork independently whilst operating as a teamBe flexible and willing to work on a variety of assignmentsIn addition to a competitive wage, we also offer the following:Guaranteed hours every weekOption to purchase additional days of annual leaveAdditional annual leave awarded to recognise long servicePension SchemeLife AssuranceOpportunities for training, development, and career progressionVolunteering LeaveDiscretionary bonus scheme based on business performanceSecurity of working for a well-established & growing companyA sense of family is at the core of our company cultureShutdown over the Christmas periodRefer a friend schemeFree on-site parkingThis is a chance to join a growing company that values every team member.
