Upholstery Technician / Upholsterers
• 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday
• £14.00 - £17.00 per hour

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are supporting a long-established UK manufacturer of workplace furniture, with a large production facility in the North West employing several hundred staff, is expanding its upholstery team. The business produces a wide range of interior solutions including seating, partitioning, and panel-based products using modern production methods.

This position is suited to individuals with upholstery experience who can balance quality with output and are comfortable working across different product types.

The role:

• Carry out upholstery work on seating products to a consistent, high-standard finish
• Measure, mark, and prepare coverings and fillings for assembly
• Shape and build components in line with product requirements
• Follow design details and job instructions to complete items accurately
• Work within set production timelines while maintaining attention to detail
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with site standards
• Offer support and practical input to colleagues when needed
• Contribute to maintaining uniform quality across batches

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in upholstery or a closely related hands-on role
• Ability to handle a range of materials, including fabric and leather
• Familiarity with workshop equipment such as sewing machines and hand tools
• Good eye for detail alongside the ability to work efficiently
• Comfortable working from instructions, drawings, or sample references
• Team-oriented approach with a reliable and flexible attitude
