Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the efficient handling, storage, and loading of goods within our warehouse/yard. The goods we handle are car and commercial tyres. This position involves working in a an environment where attention to detail, and organisation is paramount. The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for various tasks including manual and forklift stock handling, stock organisation and stock control, loading and unloading vehicles
Responsibilities
Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading lorries and storage areas
Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery (training provided)
Managing stock takes on a regular basis
Picking and loading vehicles with correct stock items
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary equipment and systems
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations
Driving requirements for delivery of stock on an ad hoc basis
