What the school offers its staff

Marine Park is a purpose-built PFI school on an extensive coastal site in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside. It is

the largest First School in North Tyneside, serving up to 520 pupils from a wide catchment area. Our ethos

is built on excellence, enjoyment and strong community values.

The Governors of this successful and friendly First School invite applications for the post of Class Teacher

to cover a period of maternity leave. We are looking to appoint a full-time class teacher to join our team

and maintain the high standards of education, safety and wellbeing that define our school. We may also

use this recruitment process to appoint to other teaching positions that arise in the coming months.

The advertised Class Teacher post is temporary (fixed term to cover maternity leave) and is likely to be

class based in Year 2, 3 or 4 (to be confirmed). The position will commence in November 2026 (exact start

date to be confirmed) and is likely to last for 2–3 terms. It would be suitable for an early career teacher,

recently qualified or an experienced teacher.

Visits are welcomed, and we have arranged two opportunities for candidates to see the school. The dates

and times are:

• 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday 29 April 2026;
• 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday 29 April 2026.
