Long Term Futures are working with a specialist SEND provision in Barnet to appoint a passionate and dedicated Primary and Secondary Teacher to support pupils with Autism (ASD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a purpose-built specialist setting, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of pupils with sensory, communication and social development needs.
The school is seeking a teacher who can build strong relationships, deliver personalised learning and contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver adapted primary curriculum lessons for pupils with ASD
- Create a structured, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Differentiate learning to meet individual EHCP targets
- Monitor and assess pupil progress using a range of strategies
- Work closely with support staff, therapists and families
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS/QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience teaching within a primary or SEND setting
- Understanding of autism and associated needs
- A creative, patient and reflective approach to teaching
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high standards and inclusive education
